The last chapters were a painful read. It was one of JAK’s early works and it’s interesting to see how her early work compares to her work today. Hannah and Gideon make a beautiful couple, quite well balanced in my opinion.
This one is a bit too dated, but won’t stop me from trying a few more of Jayne Ann Krentz’s older works. But Hannah has other matters to contend with.

It was a mutually beneficial arrangement. I was only a little bit annoyed that Hannah took so long to make her decision, but then again, Gideon had always had what he wanted, so I don’t think it hurt him too much to be a bit insecure. I find the plot development and the heroine too pretentious.
Both main characters are very stubborn but bring out the best in each other. I enjoyed this book very much.
But then Hannah started dithering about whether she wanted krents become an Amazon like other females in her family and write a book – be alone the rest of her life and successful and happy.
