Obtaining a good enrollment scan helps the matching performance a lot. After the so called update, I was requested to restart the pc for it to take affect. If anyone could help I would truely appreciate it. Other than uninstalling the authentec suite, I don’t know what to do. It appears the problem is caused by an update from Windows update site for the authentec drivers.

I have a Satellite with Aes1160 Home Premium and have has the AES scanner software problem described in this and some other similar threads. After the so called update, I was requested to restart the pc for it to take affect. The time now is I have a similar problem to those above.

I used Phil’s procedure and removed the AES from the control panel-device manager. Can anyone help me out, step by step. Welcome to the Toshiba Support Forum, created for customers and enthusiasts to share knowledge, solve problems and discuss technology.

AuthenTec, Inc. AuthenTec Inc. AES1610 – two ways of downloading and installing the driver

I thought that was a little extreme so I tried what I had read in another forum first and it worked!!! Please can someone help me resolve this issue. I have a brand new Toshiba Qoosmio G50, I have the same problem, the installed Toshiba finger print software is the new version, if you try to install the so called update from the Toshiba update page it is a previous version.

Supported devices This device wes1610 most commonly be found embedded in HP tablets and Asus or Lenovo laptops. Each frame is x8 pixels in size.

What I did from memory. Driver quality Supported devices libfprint. When I started up again, I still got a pop-up but it had a third option “don’t show this again”.

Biometric – AuthenTec, Inc. – AuthenTec Inc. AES1610 Drivers Download

All I know is that it is for the TrueSuite Access for the fingerprint scanner on the laptop. Anyone else any ideas? I had the same issue. If anyone aes610 help I would truely appreciate it. Thanks for this info!

I don’t want or need the print identification but cannot get rid of it. I tried the instructions Gnarly gave us all – sadly once I restarted the laptop, I was still given the same “Device Software Installation box”, even though another box was saying “Driver Software Ase1610 for AuthenTec Inc has been successfully installed.

Does anyone else have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? Reinstalled and still have the same loop.

I could not ever get the print identifyer to work correctly, and don’t need that level of security for my machine, so I wanted to delete it, but uninstalling did not work and I could not find a way to eliminate the pop-up asking to install the device. I have uninstalled the whole program and reinstalled it. Have you removed old version from the system before you have installed new version? I restarted the laptop about 4 times This device can most commonly be found embedded in HP tablets and Asus or Lenovo laptops.

Gnarly you are a star! I resolved it by deleteing all files in the c: Everytime i boot windows and has been occuring for over a week now, it continually pops up wanting to install an aex1610 for AES, when you select ok to finish installing software it eventually opens up Truesuite Aes1160 software, and then wants to modify repair or remove.

Even when embedded in this way, these devices just sit on the regular USB bus. I don’t know much about vista and don’t want to start uninstalling things I’m not sure off Gnarly thanks suggestion it has not worked for me, still getting prompt each time.
