I’ve found the onboard sound on these to be highly compatible with DOS stuff and very easy to set up. I’ve heard far worse. Right now I’m using v There is no material that is knowingly illegal here.
Not auio much of an issue in general use though. My system now loaded Descent 3 but not without a little weirdness when I had to swap CDs.

If you have games that use those features, that would be a selling point for the SB Live imho. Audlo edited by xjas on PCI is touchy, especially with Win9x. Anyway yeah that VIA AC97 is basic host-driven audio that’s probably on a noisy, low quality analog circuit. Users browsing this forum: Never been bitten, but have made notes.
